Guide

Setup

Install KairoDock, connect the platforms you stream on, add your overlay links to your streaming software, test everything, and go live.

Quick setup

  • 1. Download and install KairoDock on the Windows PC you stream from.
  • 2. Open KairoDock.
  • 3. Connect Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and TikTok via TikFinity if you stream on TikTok.
  • 4. Copy your Chat Overlay or Alert Overlay link from KairoDock for on-stream visuals.
  • 5. Optional: copy your Chat Dock or Alert Dock link if you want separate streaming software panels.
  • 6. Optional: capture KairoDock.exe audio if you want alert sounds or TTS on stream.
  • 7. Test chat, alerts, and TTS.
  • 8. Go live.

Install

  • Download v0.3.3-Beta from the download page.
  • Run the Windows installer and launch KairoDock.
  • Open the Setup Assistant and follow the checks from top to bottom.
  • No KairoDock account is required to download, install, or use KairoDock.

Connect your platforms

  • Choose the platform you want to connect, sign in in the browser, and approve KairoDock when prompted.
  • Return to KairoDock after each browser sign-in so the Setup Assistant can confirm the account is connected.
  • Connect only the platforms you plan to use on stream; you can come back later and add more.
  • TikFinity is only needed for TikTok chat and events. Twitch, YouTube, and Kick do not need TikFinity.

Add overlays

  • KairoDock works with streaming software that supports browser sources, including OBS Studio, Streamlabs Desktop, and SE.Live.
  • Copy your Chat Overlay or Alert Overlay link from KairoDock for on-stream visuals, then add it as a browser source in your streaming software.
  • Use Chat Dock and Alert Dock links when you want separate display panels in your streaming software.
  • Keep KairoDock open while you stream so chat, alerts, and overlay changes can reach your scene.
  • If an overlay link was shared somewhere it should not be, reset it in KairoDock and replace the old link in your streaming software.

Stream audio

  • KairoDock.exe plays alert sounds and TTS.
  • Chat Overlay and Alert Overlay are visual-only in normal beta setup.
  • If you want viewers to hear alert sounds or TTS, add KairoDock.exe as an application audio source in your streaming software.
  • If audio sounds doubled, your streaming software may be capturing both Desktop Audio and KairoDock.exe.
  • If you capture KairoDock.exe directly, you usually do not also need Desktop Audio capturing the same sound.

Test before you go live

  • Send a test chat message from each connected platform.
  • Trigger a safe test alert and make sure it appears where you expect.
  • Run a TTS test if you use TTS on stream.
  • Use diagnostics only when something looks disconnected or out of sync.
